Kit May started her career in the audit industry with Ernst & Young, where she gained audit and accounting experience. In 2001, she joined the UOA group of companies and was involved in various areas of the group’s property operations, including development, construction and investment. She was also actively involved in the successful listing of UOA REIT in 2005.
In 2006, Kit May joined ARMB and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2008. In the same year, she spearheaded the project of converting Axis-REIT into the first Islamic Office/Industrial REIT in Malaysia. She continued to assume greater management responsibilities, and in November 2011, was appointed to the Board of the Manager as an Executive Director. As part of the Board’s succession plans, Kit May was groomed to become Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of ARMB. In preparation for this, she took on the position of Chief Operating Officer of ARMB in 2015, before assuming the role of CEO on 1 January 2016.
Kit May continues to lead Axis-REIT to new heights, as the Fund extends its leadership as an owner, manager and developer of industrial properties in Malaysia. She has successfully steered Axis-REIT through the pandemic, with the Fund recording continued growth and operational resilience. She has also been instrumental in driving the Fund’s portfolio expansion, particularly in property development, actively overseeing the sourcing, implementation and handover of three ‘built-to-lease’ projects to-date, with more in the pipeline.

Tan Choon Siang is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of CapitaLand Malaysia REIT Management Sdn. Bhd., the Manager of CapitaLand Malaysia Trust (CLMT). CLMT is a real estate investment trust with a diversified portfolio of assets strategically located in three key urban centres in Malaysia.
With over 20 years of experience in financial management, investments, corporate finance, treasury and investment banking, Choon Siang was formerly the Chief Financial Officer of Ascendas Property Fund Trustee Pte. Ltd., the trustee-manager of Ascendas India Trust, which is a business trust listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. Prior to that, he oversaw Ascendas-Singbridge Group’s corporate finance and treasury activities across the region in his role as Head of Head of Corporate Finance & Treasury at Ascendas-Singbridge Pte. Ltd. He has also served as Vice President of Corporate Finance at Genting Singapore Limited, where he was responsible for the company’s investments, financing and treasury functions.
Between 2006 and 2011, Choon Siang was at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong and Singapore where he was an Executive Director in the Securities Division. His experience also included stints in the Investment Banking Division at Deutsche Bank and the Ministry of Finance, Singapore.
Choon Siang holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Encik Zuhairy bin Md Isa joined AmREIT on 15 April 2008 as the Head, Asset Management where he was responsible for overseeing property management, marketing and leasing and the implementation of organic growth strategies to enhance the performance of AmFIRST REIT’s portfolio as well as planning and implementing the asset enhancement initiatives.
On 1 August 2013, he was appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of AmREIT responsible for the strategic direction, investment objectives and operations of AmFIRST REIT and AmREIT as well as overseeing the roles as the Head, Asset Management.
On 8 January 2015, he was re-designated as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of AmREIT and currently responsible for the investment strategies and property portfolio planning for AmFIRST REIT.
Encik Zuhairy has more than fifteen (15) years of related working experience prior to joining AmREIT. His last position was as the Assistant Vice President II with MIDF Property Berhad, heading the Leasing and Marketing Department for Klang Valley region. He was also responsible in handling the land development matters throughout Malaysia as well as Indonesia. He also served as a director for the subsidiaries involved in logistics in Malaysia and property development in Indonesia, namely MIEL Logistics Sdn Bhd and PT Miel Nusantara Development.
He is currently a Management Committee member of The Summit Subang USJ Management Corporation representing AmFIRST REIT in managing the mixed integrated strata development. He was the Vice Chairman of the MRMA for 2014 and 2015 and is currently a Committee Member.
He graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon-Tyne, United Kingdom with Postgraduate Diploma and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree, both in Town Planning.
He holds the Capital Markets Services Representative’s License under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 since April 2014 and a Registered Property Manager with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers of Malaysia.
Dato’ Philip Ho is the Chief Executive Officer of Pavilion REIT Management Sdn Bhd, the manager of Pavilion REIT which has one of the largest retail mall by valuation on the Malaysian listed REIT market.
Started his career in KPMG, Dato’ Philip has over 33 years of experience in finance, corporate planning, mergers & acquisitions, audit, asset management, property development and construction.
Dato’ Philip holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Chisholm Institute of Technology, Australia. Besides being a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, he is also a registered
property manager governed by the The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers, Malaysia
Encik Hafidz Atrash Kosai bin Mohd Zihim, aged 46, a Malaysian, was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Pelaburan Hartanah Nasional (PHNB) on August 30, 2010, and was appointed to the Board of Directors of PHNB on November 21, 2014.
Encik Hafidz is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (FCA Ireland) and a Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He also holds a Capital Market Services Representative’s License from the Securities Commission of Malaysia. He graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance from Leicester DeMontfort University, England.
Encik Hafidz has wide experience in the investment and financial sectors. Prior to joining Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), he was attached with a renowned investment bank and prior to that, was involved in the accounting and auditing sector where he trained professionally and completed his articleship as a Chartered Accountant. He joined PNB in 2003 in the Corporate Finance Department before joining the Office of the President and Group Chief Executive of PNB. Consequently, he was attached to the Corporate Services Department prior to his transfer to PHNB in early 2010.
Encik Hafidz is also the President of the Malaysian Irish Alumni Association, the Vice President of the Famemas Malaysia Sports Supporters Club and leads his Residents’ Association and local Rukun Tetangga.
Dato’ Stewart is a Member of the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from the University of Sheffield in United Kingdom.
Dato’ Stewart was the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Axis REIT Managers Bhd until December 2015. Axis REIT was the first Shariah compliant listed Industrial REIT in the world and the first REIT to be listed on Bursa Malaysia in August 2005. During that time, he worked to establish REITs as an important component of the capital markets in Malaysia. He spearheaded the formation of the Malaysian REIT Managers Association where he served as its Chairman for 5 years and is currently a Board Member of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA).
He has over 40 years of experience in manufacturing, operations management, property development and REIT management. He is a prominent speaker on the subject of real estate investment and has presented numerous papers at conferences globally.
He currently serves as Executive Chairman of Area Management Sdn Bhd, the manager of the AREA Industrial Development Fund 1 which develops high grade industrial projects and estates in Malaysia.
He also was instrumental in the establishment of Alpha REIT, Malaysia’s first unlisted Islamic REIT focused on Education assets, where he serves as Chairman of Alpha REIT Managers Sdn Bhd, the manager of Alpha REIT.
In December 2017 he was appointed as an Independent Non- Executive Director of UEM Edgenta Berhad and listed Total Asset Solution Company dealing in Infrastructure, Healthcare, Consultancy and Real Estate.
Derek Teh Wan Wei is the Chief Executive Officer of Sentral REIT Management Sdn Bhd (SRM), the Manager of Sentral REIT. Sentral REIT, a listed REIT on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, owns and invests in quality income-producing assets primarily used for commercial purpose, located predominantly in Malaysia.
Derek has more than 20 years of experience in the property industry. Prior to SRM, Derek was formerly the Vice President, Properties at Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), where he oversaw the business operations of development of various commercial, residential and mixed development projects or MRCB.
Derek has also served at CIMB-Mapletree Management Sdn Bhd as the Chief Investment Officer, where he led the investment, fund management, development management and asset management functions for a portfolio of Malaysia-centric assets.
Derek holds a Master of Business Systems from Monash University and double Bachelor’s Degree in Property & Construction (Building) and Planning & Design from University of Melbourne.
Dato’ Hisham Othman is currently the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hektar Asset Management Sdn. Bhd., the Manager of Hektar REIT, Malaysia’s first retail-focused REIT listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia and a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series that was established to recognize companies that demonstrate best ESG practices.
Dato’ Hisham is also an Independent, Non-Executive Director of Berjaya Corporation Berhad and has over 30 years of working experience in various industries. He has held many senior positions in the Renong/ UEM Group and in the DRB-Hicom Group. He has led many companies in various industries in his capacity as Chief Executive Officer and/or Chief Operating Officer. In the real estate sector, he has been involved in the areas of property development, asset management and construction.
Dato’ Hisham holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and a Master in Business Administration (MBA). He also holds a Senior Management Certificate from INSEAD of France. He is a Qualified Risk Director and a member of the Institute of Enterprise Risk Practitioners (“IERP”) based in the UK. He possesses a Capital Markets Services Representatives’ License (“CMSRL”) for REITs as a Licensed Director for the asset management company of Hektar REIT to carry on regulated activities specified under the Capital Markets and Services Act (“CMSA”).
Dato’ Hisham is also a member of Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (“MICG”) and Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (“ICDM”). He is also a Registered Property Manager, governed by The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVEAP), Malaysia.
Low Peck Chen is the Malaysia Chief Representative of CapitaLand Investment Limited, a member of CapitaLand Group. She represents the company for real estate investment management matters in Malaysia.
Prior to her appointment on 1 January 2022, she was the Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand Malaysia REIT Management Sdn Bhd, the manager of CapitaLand Malaysia Trust (CLMT) – a diversified real estate investment trust in Malaysia with an income-producing and geographically diversified portfolio of five shopping malls and a complementary office block. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, corporate planning and strategy development, Peck Chen was responsible for the execution of the strategy for CLMT and the day-to-day operation of CLMT’s business.
Prior to her promotion as CEO in 2014, Peck Chen joined CapitaLand Malaysia in 2008 and eventually assumed the role of Head of Finance in 2010. She had direct oversight of the functions of finance, financial reporting and controls, treasury, tax, risk management and investor relations.
Prior to joining CapitaLand, Peck Chen established her accounting and audit experience through various firms in the auditing, banking, engineering and shipping sectors when she joined the workforce in 1999.
Peck Chen holds a Bachelor of Accounting (First Class Honours) from University of Malaya and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® and member of CFA Institute.
Dato’ Jeffrey Ng Tiong Lip is the Chief Executive Officer of Sunway REIT Management Sdn Bhd (the Manager of Sunway REIT, a listed REIT on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia). He also holds directorships in various organisations. He is an Independent Director of United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, Director of Urban Hallmark Properties Sdn Bhd, Chairman of REHDA Institute and Chairman of the Malaysian REIT Managers Association (MRMA). Prior to joining Sunway REIT Management Sdn Bhd, he was the Executive Director of Sunway City Berhad (currently known as Sunway Berhad) and former Managing Director of AP Land Berhad.
Dato’ Jeffrey is also Patron of the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA).
He has held various positions in non-governmental associations, among which was President of REHDA, Chairman of REHDA Wilayah Persekutuan (KL) Branch, Director of Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Vice President and Secretary General of FIABCI Malaysian Chapter (International Real Estate Federation), Vice President of Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners (MAHO), Chapter Chairman of Young Presidents Organisations (YPO) Malaysian Chapter and Vice Chairman of Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC).
Dato’ Jeffrey has more than 35 years of extensive experience in finance, corporate planning and executive management in the real estate and hotel industry in both Malaysia and Australia. Graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University in Melbourne, he is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australia and New Zealand as well as a Fellow member of the Malaysian Institute of Directors.
Dato’ was recently awarded “Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (REHDA) Personality of the year 2015” for his contribution to the real estate industry. He was also accorded the “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Malaysia Australia Business Council.
