The Presenters

Julian will be the lead Malaysian partner responsible for the coordination of all Malaysian tax services. He has advised clients in the Banking and Capital Markets industry for many years particularly on structured financing products.

He is the Lead partner for the Malaysian subsidiaries of a leading Anglo-Dutch Bank which include commercial, debt and advisory businesses and their Labuan branch for offshore transactions.

He is also a Tax advisor for the Malaysian subsidiary of a leading Swiss Bank and Advisor to Malaysia’s largest pension funds on their international expansion including real estate structuring and acquisitions, management and structuring of investments assets from fixed income, to private equity, including assessment for treaty or Sovereign Immunity relief purposes.

Julian holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) & Laws, BCom/ LLB, Monash University, Australia and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

 

Keng Haw has worked with clients in the financial services industry, including Banks, Real Estate investment Trust Funds (REIT), unit trust funds, etc.

He has experience in managing tax compliance of REITs. He is also involved in tax advice relating to sukuk issuance relating to a REIT,etc
Keng Haw has over 15 years of professional experience within the field of Malaysian corporate taxation.

Keng Haw’s qualifications are: Bachelor of Accounting (Hons), Association of International Accountant, UK, Associate Member of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and a licensed tax agent in Malaysia.
